We were there to follow la tour de france. We lived at your hotel. I am writing this letter to complain about the poor quality of the hotel and broken promises.
In the advertisements for the hotel we were promised a beautiful French hotel. A room of high quality suiting 3 people, with a stunning view of Brest. The room we stayed in was filthy. It had no view and was too small for 3 people. In the advertisement we were also promised a short walking-distance to the centre of the city. This trip is a 2km walk along a heavily trafficated road. We were told there would be high-speed internet in our room. It was just a slow internet on an old computer.
Not only was the room not as we had hoped. We ordered the room for 60 euros a night. When we got our bill, we had to pay 70 euros.
I am not happy with the service given and demand a refund.

Monsieur le directeur Didier Villeneuve,

Ma famille et moi visitiez la ville de Brest pour trois jours en avril.

Acceptez, monsieur, l’assurance de mes salutations distinguées.

Before travelling to Pau one afternoon, my family and i ate at a little restaurant in Bretagne. The entrance had a large blue door with letters above saying « Crêperie ». Two bushes hung by the door, with two smaller ones below. To the right, there was a blue and yellow menu. The restaurant served seafood.
We entered the restaurant. It was small and cosy. The room was full of light and had blue walls. There were many windows at the other end of the room. We sat at a table in the middle of the room with a candle in the middle. A waiter came up to us and took our order.
We all ordered the same thing. « Le salade de quimper » for appetizers, « la morue bestoise » for the main course and for désert « les crêpes aux fraises ou aux pommes ». But my son ordered « les beignets bretons « for désert because he is allergic to apples. The whole thing cost us 11,70 euros per person.

After finishing our meal, we left for the train station. Our luggage was packed and in our rental car. The trip was going to be long, but it would be worth it. We were going to see l’étape Pau in la tour de france.
We did not reach the train leaving that morning from Brest at 11h48. We had to take the train leaving for Pau Gare at 17h00.
We had to switch trains in Paris Montparnasse, waiting two hours and one minute between them. The second train we took from Paris Australitz. The journey would have been 11h17 if we had taken the early train. But it took us 14h22 to reach our destination.

The l’étape Pau is 154km long. It is held on the French national day, the 14th of may. It is not the longest étape, but it is the highest. For the first 80km the tour is pretty flat with only two raises in the terrain at Labatmale and Loucrup. The landscape is beautiful and the weather is supposed to be fabulous. These points are 401m and 522m above sea level. But when the cyclists reach the edge of Col du Tourmalet, they have to go up 2115m above sea level. Only the strongest manage to make it up quickly. When they finally reach the top they can breath. Since they are going only downhill from there until they reach Ayros-Arbouix which is the goal (501m above sea level). Here they are met with cheering crowds. People stand along the road to watch the final sprint and cheer as the first person crosses the goal.
