Written Assignment: College and Stress (Due: 6/9/11 by 9:00 AM)

Research shows that college is one of the most stressful times in a person's life. Sudden independence, a change in social situations, adjusting to a new support structure, and added responsibility about work and classes are all stressors.

For this assignment I want you to find one scientific, peer-reviewed article that talks about stress and college students. You should find your article by using the FLCC library databases to insure you have a research article, not one written on a general website. Your article must be no older than five years old and should be a minimum of 5-pages long, not including the references.  If you have problems finding a source please visit the FLCC Library website, where you have access to a reference librarian 24 hours a day!

For this assignment, simply complete a 2-3 page review of this article, summarizing the key points about how stress impacts college students; you can also use information from your text or from extra sources, if you feel you need to. Please make sure to complete your assignment in the appropriate word processing format and make sure you site your sources in text (using MLA or APA format) and list your source in the appropriate works cited format in a page at the end of your writing.
